"What does it mean when you say you are an accredited school of the Illinois State Board of Education?"

Dental Office Careers have met certain academic and intuitional requirements established by the Illinois State Board of Education.  Some of the factors that the Illinois State Board of Education looks for include a school curriculum, quality of education, facilities, staff, and the admission policies.

"Do you offer job placement?"

We work closely with an agency that gives you the option to choose either job placement or you can use your skills as a temporary dental assistant.

"What does Coronal Polishing mean?"

Coronal polishing is a technique used to remove plaque and stains from the coronal surfaces of the teeth.  Coronal polishing is strictly limited to the clinical crowns of the teeth.  (The clinical crown is that portion of the tooth that is visible in the oral cavity.)  Only dental assistants who have had special training may perform this procedure.  We include this in our "Dental Assisting" program. Normally this is a separate course with an additional fee.

"What does it mean to apply Dental Sealants?"

A dental sealant is a coating that covers the occlusal pits and fissures of teeth.  This procedure, as well as the coronal polishing, can only be preformed by an educationally qualified dental assistant.  This is also included in our "Dental Assisting" program.  Normally this is a separate course with an additional fee.
